The Wellington Aboriginal Corporation Health Service (WACHS) were given funds by the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH) for the development of a new building to accommodate its health and youth services. These funds also allowed for the purchase of a suitable site.

Assai were appointed by WACHS as the OATSIH Capital Works Project Manager to undertake the following Project Management services:
- Health service planning and operational policy development (including the development of a Schedule of Accommodation)
- Identification and procurement of an appropriate site for the new facility
- Design, documentation for Design Development and Construct (DD&C) Contract, procurement of DD&C Contractor, and construction administration
The process of defining the project scope involved extensive consultation
with key project stakeholders including WACHS, OATSIH, NSW Health,
Wellington Council, a range of Australian Government and NSW Government
service providers, and neighbours.
