September 2009: Allan Vernon joins Assai in the capacity of Associate Director to enhance Assai's Governance capability; and further develop client relationships and new business in the international development sector.

August 2009: Assai, in partnership with DHV, was successfully selected for the Indonesia Infrastructure panel (IndII), a three-year consulting panel managed by SMEC on behalf of AusAID (under the Australia-Indonesia Partnership).

August 2009: Assai announces new Practice Leader, Indigenous Australia. Gillian Barlow joins Assai as new Practice Leader, Indigenous Australia. Gillian is a registered architect and has 20 years experience working on Aboriginal housing and health infrastructure projects within the government and private sector.

April 2009: Assai opens new country office in Jakarta, Indonesia. The office serves Assai's infrastructure clients in the resources, international development and community development sectors.
